Happy Holidays

December 26, 2010
Dear customers, dear ladies, I want to remind you to life to the fullest each and every day, each day of the week, each day of the month. As this year nears the end, and new year is peeking around the corner, I am sending your love and greetings.

In 2011, I will continue surprising you with designs for strong, confident women who like to share their own stories. One story per woman, and I hope that you find yourself in one of our stories.

They are red, blue, green, black or white, they have gold and silver in them. Look deep, and you will see yourself.

Much love, Dada

Jewels, Hats, Eco-Chic Clothes

December 10, 2010
Eco-chic? What does that mean? Repurposed, hand-made, with minimal impact on the environment, yet elegant and stylish. On 8 December, Dada's Candy was represented at the Dallas Greendrinksin their first Dallas-based Eco-Chic Fashion Show.

The model is wearing one of our most love-intensive and work-intensive pieces, the traditional kraluz from surroundings of Zagreb. It is red and gorgeous.

We at Dada's Candy are filled with delight today and ready for the Christmas season. A day in Zagreb

July 4, 2010

I really enjoyed myself amongst so many extraordinary women yesterday at the International Conference of SDP Women's Forum in Zagreb. They celebrated 15 years of their formation.

Women from all over the world together.

Strong and beautiful women!!!

Some lucky ladies received pieces of Dada's Candy as an appreciation for their dedicated 15 years of work from the President, Mirjana Feric-Vac.

Day in the Country

July 4, 2010
We went to visit the countryside of Croatia today, to visit my relatives and to take 9 baby hens and 1 baby rooster to my brother's ranch in the country. They are on a "scholarship" to live in Zagorje (Croatia's beautiful countryside), lay eggs and forage for grubs, beatles, bugs and fresh grass. In exchange, we will get fresh and organic eggs, so that I can make homemade pastries, omelets and other goodies.
Pictured on the photo with me are Luna (my doggie) and a 4-day old chick. Isn't he cute?

Beauty is as beauty does

June 20, 2010

Our friend Kim owns an art gallery in Dallas. Each month, she features and proudly exhibits another artist's work in her gallery, followed by an art show. As many women, Kim is an renaissance woman. She can thread your eyebrows while talking about your horoscope signs and God. She then turns around and organizes a vibrant art show. One month, she featured Dada's Candy pieces and paired them with the work of a Brazilian painter. The artwork was fluid and strong, just as women are at ...

Marriage of Walnut and Apple

April 18, 2010

If you are like me, you love to smell and taste a yummy dessert anytime. Here is a delicious (and healthy) burst of flavors, when I married the taste of walnuts and apples. Core 3 apples to remove the seeds. Simmer 4 oz. of soymilk with a little brown sugar. Add finely ground walnuts, dash of cinammon, vanili sugar. Fill the cored apples and bake on 360 for 30 minutes or until the concoction turns light brown.

Bon appetit
