In these economic times, we read the news about people losing much, being sad, and feeling depressed. What should we do? We need to afford ourselves little luxuries that make a difference in our lives. They are different for everyone, but essential to our well being. If you are like me, luxury is about quality rather than quantity. The luxuries that honor our aspirations, improve our wellbeing, and deliver moments of happines are essential to our lives. Personal transformation, not social sta... Continue reading...

Today was a beautiful day in Zagreb. After the snows and blizzards of winter, the sounds and smells of spring abound. Walking Luna, I stumbled into a field of purple, fragrant violets. How can something so dainty smell so intoxicating. The old saying goes that "best perfumes are kept in small bottles". This reminds me that we as women might be small, but we are strong and beautiful, just like violets. My new creation, the Fuchsia Crystal, is surrounding the violets. Just right color for the sp... White snow...black coal....striking gold.
This is my latest inspiration for this necklace. It looks beautiful against light skin with a starched white shirt or a black A-line shirt.
Please give me your feedback on the first impressions that you get from seeing my new Candy. I would like to see how it makes you feel. Either reply to my blog or email me at dada@dadascandy.com or post to Facebook.
Thank you!!!

I have made these with spinach and ham and margarine. You can make them with turkey, cabbage, carrots or even raisins and nuts if that works for you.
Recipe: For about 15 biscuits, you mix 1/2 kilo of baking flour with a dash of salt, one egg, 50 ml of oil. In ... Continue reading...

You know by now that I love music, nature, and all things soft and feminine. Aryn Michelle is a local Dallas Fort Worth singer whose music resonates with Dada's Candy. Her voice is coffee-rich, with a velvety overtone. She is beautiful inside and out, and we at Dada's Candy really vibe with that. If our jewelry were music, it would carry the same overtones, it would weave Aryn's intricate songs with the tunes of the violin, piano and guitar. Read more about Aryn and hear for yourself. She wea... Continue reading...

Throughout history, women have been drawn to beautiful, intricate designs. We all love to look and feel beautiful. We women also love colors. Some colors represent certain elements and values, especially in the women's archetype and psyche. Feminine scholars and scholars examining our past through fairytales confirm that BLACK is the color of mud, the fertile, the basic stuff into which ideas are sown, but also the color of death, the blackening of the light. It is a promise that you will soo... Continue reading...
